Project Life 365: Week 5

Better late than never, here are my Project Life 365 shots for August 29-September 4.

Aug. 29 (Bubbly), Aug. 30 (Just Like a Movie), Aug. 31 (Thank You....as in, "thank you for all the bacon on my wedge salad."), Sept. 1 (You Today)

Sept. 2 (Preparation), Sept. 3 (Slow), Sept. 4 (Shadows).

I also discovered a super cool photo app called Collect that lets me display my photo-a-day project by month.  I kind of love it.

PROJECT 365: WEEK 51

Christmas preparations were in full swing this week . . . with a lunar eclipse thrown in for good measure.  One more week to go! Merry Christmas everyone!

Only 2 weeks left in the year and I've officially photographed everything AND the kitchen sink!

PROJECT 365: WEEK 49

It's been quite a festive week around here.  First, we won the centerpiece contest at the church Christmas party!  Then, I made Dulce de Leche.  It was so easy, you wouldn't even believe it.  I had to make it to put on top of the Eggnog Cheesecakes (not pictured here, perhaps because "someone" ate them all).  I finally got the Nutcracker to pose for a picture.  And today, I whipped up a batch of the Christmas cookie we've been making around here for the last 14 years--the Rolo Cookie. Yes, my friends, there is a Rolo inside that little chocolate cookie.  I know. Brilliant! Whew! I'm exhausted from all that eating baking.

PROJECT 365: WEEK 48

Christmas decorations and food . . . Christmas decorations and food . . . Christmas decorations and food.  Yep, that's pretty much it for this week.

PROJECT 365: WEEK 47

Yes, there are a lot of food photos this week, and by a lot I mean more than usual.  And no Thanksgiving week would be complete without toilet paper tube pilgrims and Indians.  You might want to look closely at the pie crust photo so you can admire its flakiness.  Did anyone else's mom sprinkle the leftover pie dough scraps with cinnamon and sugar to make cookies?

PROJECT 365: WEEK 46

Can you spot the least exciting thing I did all week?  Yep.  Waited for a train.  And it didn't get much more exciting than that.  Oh, I did test my new macro lens on some Matchbox cars!  It's a Christmas present but I had to make sure it worked before I wrapped it up.  You know how those electronics can be so unpredictable.

PROJECT 365: WEEK 45

I don't want to alarm anyone, but it's week 45 and there are only 52 weeks in a year!

PROJECT 365: WEEK 44

Between the Halloween candy and the hot dog, there was way too much junk food consumption this week!  The best shot of the week?  That adorable family in brown.

PROJECT 365: WEEK 43

I know, there were a lot of cookies this week.  And yes, I ate about as many as I photographed.

PROJECT 365: WEEK 42

This week was brought to you by the letter P . . . parades, pumpkin patches, pencils, potatoes and photo shoots.  I didn't even plan that!

PROJECT 365: WEEK 41

This week I photographed the wedding of my friends Katie and Drew.  You can see more of their wedding photos here, but I just love that one of Katie and her dad.  And I'm so excited that fall is finally here!  Can't wait to go to the pumpkin patch.

PROJECT 365: WEEK 40

Wow! Week 41. Can you believe there are only 12 weeks left in the year?

PROJECT 365: WEEK 39

Food, Fall and fun this week . . . and T survived Eco Ed.  Or more accurately, I survived sending him to Eco Ed.  I haven't posted recipes for all the food yet, but the recipe for the 100 Grand Cupcakes with Salted Carmel Frosting is here.  And yes, you want to make them!

PROJECT 365: WEEK 38

Lot's of food and flowers this week.  What can I say? They're two of my favorite things to photograph.

PROJECT 365: WEEK 37

It's been another jam-packed week, with birthday parties, car shows and Senior pictures.  Yes, my young friend Sarah wanted some Senior pictures in the laundromat.  Don't worry, we got plenty of non-laundromat shots, because you know her mom isn't going to let her put that photo in the yearbook.  You can see a few of my favorites here.

PROJECT 365: WEEK 36

Busy, busy, busy . . . I'm dying to tell you about the new purse, all the photos sessions I had this week, the birthday party, baby shower, Labor Day barbecue, tennis games, church activities, scouts, piano lessons, meetings, and G's trip to San Francisco . . . but this is all I have time to share at the moment. Whew!

PROJECT 365: WEEK 35

Remember the purse dilemna?  Well, I found a new purse this week!  I'll have to tell you about it in a separate post.  Right now, I have a million photos to edit.  See that pretty little girl with the flower? She's one of eleven adorable students at Miss Elaine's Preschool.  I take the kid's school pictures every September.  You can see the rest of the adorable students here.  Seriously, the cutest bunch of kids you've ever seen.  Yes, I say that every year.

PROJECT 365: WEEK 34

This week, I started a new photo project called The Photo Alphabet.  You can probably spot the letter C in this collage.  I'm attempting to take similar photos of every letter of the alphabet.  Not actual letters, but things that look like letters.  It's a work in progress, but you can see the letters I've photographed so far here at my new photography website.
